I’ve read Rahel’s explanation on Kriat Shema Al Hamitah, or the Night Prayer and realized that it might be a good idea to remind myself and others the wonderful quality of peaceful sleep.
The prayer is beautiful and I find it to be very comporting taking away the troubles and the tensions of the day and changing the focus to thinkings of God.
I have a friend that suffers from anxiety and she says that the best cure for everything and the key for a good night sleep when she feels loved and safe is reading Kriat Shema Al Hamitah before going to sleep.
I hope you’ll read it paying careful attention to the words and remember that you are not supposed to talk after the pray unless you’re talking with your spouse.
