The qliphoth, the material shells, are evil spirits living in the fourth world, Olahm Ha-Asiah, the world of action (the Asiatic world). They are devil, devided into ten classes - like the Sephiroth - the first two are nothing but absence of visible form and organisation. The third is the abode of darkness. The next are the seven hells which occupy the demons that represent incarnate human vices. The prince is Samael, angel of poison and death. Samael is identical to Satan.
