I should have said greek caballa, or is it caballah, or maybe kaballah, or who knows how it's spelled. I understand gematria to be the sacred geometry stuff, but do the distinctions really matter? It all seems to be of same stew. Anyways, I'm still fairly new to this but as I understand it, it's essentially the same as the hebrew version although with slight differences such as the greek letters have an astrologica and alchemical element attached, say A, alpha, has a numerical value of 1, the moon and the first chakra associated as well. Is that so for the hebrew version?

You may want to check out Aleister Crowley's book 777 it offers a series of realted tables marking the letters of both hebrew and greek as well as the numerical astrological, color scale, planetary attributes. Pretty much a nutshell of all possible correlations one could make between various occult signs and symbols. The book also contains some of Crowley and Alan Bennett's gematria material. It is worth taking a look at if you are interested in ceremonial magick, tarot, or occultism in general.

Another great reference, albeit strictly for the Hebrew Gematria, is Godwin's Cabalistic Encyclopedia. It contains a wealth of numerical values for common Kabbalistic terms, both English and Hebrew references, and definitions, correspondences, etc. Best reference book I've bought to date. I think it's better for those who are just beginning their studies. 777 is a little hard for me to follow....but then again, Crowley's always been hard for me to follow. Just my .02 McLennan~
