For me, I found it odd and a little disconcerting, that there seemed to be a great profusion of typo's in the critical edition. Most of these I discovered while casually comparing the old Dover edition to questionable passages in the new. All that I found were of the type one would expect if one relied on word processing software instead of careful proof-reading.

Yeah, it was sloppy. I think the highest count of typos I've heard is 650+. The second edition, besides going to larger type, fixes them, but I don't have the funds to pop for it (at present...eventually I will).
