Another question just popped up:

How many of you are familiar with Aleister Crowley, and out of those of you who are, what do you think of his writings/theories?

I am certain Crowley's writtings and theories are accurate. He absolutely knows what he was talking about. For example, he knew that Hitler possesed the Spear of Destiny and that is why he was so powerful. He said the Tarot originated from the Egyptians and its original tablets are located under the sphinx (we now know their is a chamber under the sphinx).

I think his writings contain less than 10% useful/good info:

Several excellent books on esoteric Philosophy are online here:

I honestly think he was mad! Some of his writings are okay, but geez what drugs didn't he take? Most of it is a little way out even for me to accept>

Several biographys on Crowley & Churchill mention Crowley going to Winston Churchill on how he can win the War and tells him of Hitlers possesion. Churchill knew of Crowley's lifestyle and refused his help. It is well documented in several new age encyclopedia's.

Edgar Cayce also said the same thing.

I don't think one should make such 'absolute' statements about a mans knowledge, especially in this case. As pointed out in another posting, he is just human, and he made errors just like any other person. Whether you like or dislike his work is up to you. But I also don't think its healthy to say you are certain that his writings and theories are correct, when you may or may not have enough knowledge to know such a thing.

As for the tarot originating from Egypt, definately up for an argument there. Hitlers success because he possessed the spear of destiny? do u know he possessed the spear of destiny? where is it now? Most people put his success down to his persuasive techniques.
