Although I've considered the Sephirah of the middle pillar as metaphoric/symbolic associations (eg Keter for Sahasrara chakra, Binah/Chokmah for ajna etc. in the microcosm), I've recently become acquainted with the Dan Tein in Tai Chi etc. After a little lower Dan Tein practice (roughly below the navel region), the entire region begins to heat up, then through the whole body. Could it be that the sephirot of the middle pillar, yesod in this case, be more than symbolic pointers for the unconscious but actual energy centres of our microcosm? Chi/prana/energy reservoirs?
Barbara Brennan describes the Molten Earth core (Malkuth), the lower Dan Tein (yesod), the soul seat (Tipheret), she misses out on Da'at then goes onto the ID point (Keter).
These reason behind this question/comments stems from a confusion: such energy manifestations, as described by Brennan or a Martial art school with any esoteric inclination, would be related with a sephirah, as the ENTIRE chakric system would relate to the etheric level and therefore Yesod. In other words,in my limited understanding, the chakric system are etheric centres for tuning into the spectrum of consciousness Kabbalah describes.
'There is a tree in every Sephirah' is probably an answer I'm looking for.
Please forgive my ramblings! I know I have been quite presumptuous in this. Any further comments on the Dan Tein as it related to the Tree would be appreciated.

I believe that 'The Middle Pillar' by Israel Regardie would greatly clear-up any confusion concerning the Chakras and the Sephiroth that corespond to one another. Regardie is always worth a read in any case. Cheers, Steve.
