Wasn't GD Crowley's group formed in the 1920s? Didn't this group have Satanic themes as well as Wicca?

Welcome,
No, Crowley got his occult foundation in the Gd but wasn't a member for very long. In fact he joined quite late when the GD was already in decline. While it is true that Crowley contributed tio witchcraft (there are fairly persistent stories that he helped to design the ceremonial for Gardner's witchcratf but I cannot vouch for this one way of the other). The GD itself had nothing to do with witchcraft and works in a different way at a different level.

Even the 0=0 neophyte ritual has an appearance of the godform of SET, OMOSAATHAN i believe is the name used , Wiccans misunderstand their ritual roots and tend to disregard the Apophis of the IAO form, lip service to a stag does not incorporate destructive elements,inverse and widdershins formulae invoke these but do not properly ground them. Matriarchal and Lunar based mythologies have HECTATE , Kali to incorporate this , a form often neglected by feel good magicks of the Starhawk variety..as for Gardner and Crowley a quick perusal of LIBER 4 will dispell all doubts, at any rate it was extensively stolen from in A Witches bible compleat so that even if the ritual base is over looked by gardnerians thelemic methods permeate modern wicca
