Dear Sandra,
May I recommend some reading? On Magick, start with Gareth Knight's 'Magick and the Western Mind.'
On the Kabbalah: Epstein's 'Kabbalah: Way of the Jewsih Mystic'; Kaplan's 'Meditation and Kabbalah'; and everything written by Gershom Scholem.
For the Hermetic Qabbalah, read Knight's 'A Practical Guide to Qabbalistic Symbolism.'

That's what I did. The older the books the better. Not to exclude newer ones, though. Try 'Kabbalah' by Gershom Scholem... He's kindof an 'authority' on the subject.
What are most interested in pertaining to the subject? Or should I ask if you are in search of someting?

Greetings Sandra
The Kabbalah, Qabalah can be defined as the Jewish Esoteric Doctrine and, the Golden Dawn is a name whose true meaning has too oftentime been misused.
Happy learning.
