Jungian/Elemental correspondences

Is there a correspondence betweenthe Jungian 'functions' of sense, feeling, thought and intuition and the elements of earth, water, air and fire?

Astrological signs are categorized by these elements, but in astrology fire and air correspond to positive signs whereas water and earth are negative. If positive signs correspond to extraversion and negative to introversion it would thus be impossible to be an extravert senser or an introvert thinker etc.

Ha ha! Did Jung actually think that feeling and thought are distinct? What a moron.
