Greetings,

There is much to be gained from working within, be it occult knowledge, physical health or the greater issues of the world problems which we might seek to heal. The benefits are great but nothing is gained without effort.

Perhaps the greatest benefit is to 'Know Thyself', to gain a greater understanding of our relationship with the suffering of our fellow Brothers and Sisters and how we can help them by extending Light, understanding and harmony where, before, our vibration may have been one of fear and doubt.

My question is what does 'To Know Thyself' mean ? Does this mean the re-discovery of one's own Higher Self or does this mean True Knowledge and acceptance of oneself as one is ?

Thank you.

Blessings

My feeling is the latter. However, knowledge of oneself as one is does not, in my opinion, mean what one thinks of oneself. Rather, it means accepting and dealing with all aspects of oneself, the higher and the lower, those that shine in brightness and those that slink into the shadows of darkness. Many of those whom, on the net, are referred to as 'fluffy bunnies' refuse to even acknowledge that we each have a dark side, what Jung called the 'shadow'. Without this acknowledgement, we remain incomplete and can never truly master ourselves.

Just my dos centavos.

Doing one automatically yields the other; it is for the same reason that the Hermetic Rosecross becomes a perfect blue-print to the construction of the Vault. Think about it.

Frankly, I don't believe in suffering; anyone who buys into suffering as requisite part of enlightenment deserves what they get.

Enlightenment comes when you've had enough of that krop to say NO! Doing so ceases to provide you the excuse of victim-hood, and burdens you with the accountability of your own actions.

In that instant, you charter a whole new future for yourself.
