Request for advice and guidance

I have difficulty in gaining first hand knowledge about some elements of the Lesser Banishing Ritual, and I hope a discussion of these issues will create an opportunity for new insights.

The GodName of the Northern quadrant is AGLA. I understand it to represent 'Ateh Gibor LeOlahm Adonai' ... I don't know what 'Gibor' means, and it would be helpful to hear translations of the whole phrase.

Visualizations of the Archangelic presence of the North (Auriel) are also challenging to me. Perhaps group members would share images they have gained.

With reference to the Middle Pillar exercise, I would appreciate assistance with the translation of the GodName of Tiphareth 'JHVH Eloha Va Daath'.

Here's three outstanding questions of mine:

1. Where does the name Paralda derive from before Mathers & Crowley used it? 2. Who is Eldon Templar? 3. Which way do the Archangels face in the LBRP - inwards or outwards? Has anyone ever stated it in instructions?

In the LBRP the Archangels face outwards. I did not know this the first few months, and facing them in was really pretty nice.. I felt a little lonely, and like I was abusing the AA's when I was told they were to stand outwards for this ritual. But I recovered. I also did the circumnabulation in a counterclockwise fashion. But it was all really pretty - darnit.

when *eye* do the LBRP they face inwards (sometimes), some say to have them face inwards, some outwards. some say on INVOKING pentagram rituals to have them face in, and on BANISHING to have them face out. the position that they are facing seems to me to be fairly unimportant, that would just be a convention to let the individual magician orient hirself. calling say MICHAEL to your circle is going to be a powerful influence whatever way you pretend that the archangel is looking, or whatever form they appear in (to me they arent even the humanoid-winged guys now, just more of walls of color with the hebrew names written on the background in flashing colors). if some astral-piece-of-shit comes to your circle, its gonna be hit by the archangelic influence either way.
