A friend of a friend had her cats disappear. Now this morning she found 10 stones at her front door arranged in the pattern above. She is a little freaked out. Can anyone say what this symbol means or represents? Thank you.

my first guess is that it means there are bored teenagers in the neighbourhood, professing to be 'scary'!

That sounds like a childish prank to me. If the cats were harmed in any way the people responsible have done great damage to their souls. The eyes of a cat are widows to the soul. If used as a sacrafice the people involved were doing it for the pourpose of making incense for gambling pourposes. The intestines of a cat that was slaughtered hours earlier is what is used to make the incense. As far as the stones and the shaping and numbers have neverbeen anything I have ever seen as far as any symbolism goes.
