I was curious to know if there are any serious pursuers of the Kabbalah, not simply those who like to dabble in the latest New Age craze. I'm talking about things along the lines of scrying, the Tetragrammaton, the Qlipoth...topics such as these.

I am also curious to know how many followers of gnosticism are out there?

Hiya CBone,

You will probably find as I have that the proportion of people who pursue magick and studies of Kabbalah on all of the magick ng's is about 90% poseur and 10% sincere student. This is not to say that those who use magick as an affectation won't eventually become students but those who actually live a life devoted to the study and practice of magick do much and speak little.

Many learned individuals do read the ng's though and will provide input from time to time. I have received information and assistance from many of these people and it has proved quite fruitful. Admittedly I am a rank novice but my interest is sincere. If you post a specific question or start such a thread you will receive input...then the fun begins...get out your sifter and magnifyling glass

So what did you want to talk about?

I am attempting to study the true Kabbalah. I have been reading 'Kabbalah for the Layman' by Rabbi Berg. I am very interested in learning about the complete Kabbalagh, according to the Jewish belief. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm studying the occult for about 13 years, you can say in a more intense manner for about 7 years. I'm Jewish and live in Israel so reading hebrew is very easy for me so guess I have an advantage, above all as someone who's native tongue is Hebrew, I can really appreciate your effort since it's a very difficult language.

Im very interested in cabala, actually almost everything that has to do with occultism. It started with me being very fasinated by buddism. Then I started to read about Teosofi, AND now I read mostly about the Western tradition, ABOUT magick, golden dawn, Alister Crowly, and religions in the middleages.Like gnosticism. I like gnosticism very much. Im doing my LBRP almost every day, and try to meditate a bit over gnostic texts. AND doing yoga.

Have you read a gnostic poem called 'Thunder, perfect mind'. Its very nice.

Do you wanna chat?
